What is the difference between the Old Strathcona Foundation and The Old Strathcona Business Association?
The mandate of the Old Strathcona Foundation is the preservation and restoration of the historical assets of the area, complimented by programs to revive the cultural amenities in the area to make Old Strathcona a place where people would want to live and where businesses would prosper. Whereas the Old Strathcona Business Association focuses on the Business Revitalization Zone and promoting responsible commerce in the area.
How do I become a member?
Memberships are accepted throughout the year and can be purchased through this website (on the membership page) at our office (3rd floor, Queen Alexandra School 7730 – 106 Street) or at our booth at the Old Strathcona Farmers’ booth in aisle on Saturdays 8 am – 3 pm.
How do I make a donation?
Donations are accepted throughout the year and can be made through the Old Strathcona Foundation office at 3rd Floor, Queen Alexandra School, 7730 – 106 Street, Edmonton, AB T6E 3W4, or at the Old Strathcona Foundation booth at the Farmers’ Market (aisle 4) Saturday’s from 8 am – 3 pm.
What are donations allocated to?
Money raised through donations or fundraising is allocated to one of three areas; human resources, community projects and programs or the Old Strathcona Foundation legacy fund.

Donors can specify which area they would like to have their money allocated.
What volunteer opportunities are available?

Why was the Old Strathcona Foundation Created?
The Old Strathcona Foundation was created in 1974 by a group of concerned citizens in response to the City of Edmonton idea to build a freeway through the Old Strathcona area.
What are the boundaries of the OSF?
The official boundaries of the OSF are from 101 Street to 106 Street, 80 Avenue to Saskatchewan Drive. However, the OSF is involved with many programs and events which fall outside the boundaries.
