Celebrate our Heritage…explore our stories.
The Edmonton and District Historical Society is presenting its 14th annual historic festival from July 9 - 18. The festival region includes the Edmonton area and extends from Wetaskiwin in the south, Fort Chipewyan in the north, Vermilion in the east and Jasper in the west.
This festival is a family oriented event that features tours and activities at museums, historic sites and in communities and it showcases the stories of our history and cultural heritage in urban and rural settings.
Festival brochures will be available in early May at City of Edmonton libraries, Travel Alberta Visitor Information Centres, and at 100 partner sites throughout northern Alberta. Visit www.historicedmonton.ca for more information and event listings.
The festival is a winner of a 2007 Travel Alberta Friends of Tourism Award and is presented by the Edmonton and District Historical Society.
