The 23rd Annual Old Strathcona Foundation's Silly Summer Parade and Picnic in the Park takes to the streets of Old Strathcona at noon on Thursday, July 1st .

The annual Silly Summer Parade mixes Canada Day spirit with twisted humor and good old-fashion fun.  The Silly Summer Parade will be following the same route as 2009 starting at noon, winding up at Queen Alexandra School (7730 - 106 Street) for the Picnic in the Park Event.  This fun filled afternoon features family activities including a jumping good time courtesy of Inflatable Fun, entertainment, a fundraising Hot Dog Sales and of course Canada Day cake. The Picnic in the Park sees the addition of carnival games this year.  All activities at the Picnic in the Park are free of charge, donations will be accepted for the Old Strathcona Foundation.
