The Old Strathcona Foundation is proud to present the 7th Annual friend and fund raiser “A Taste of Old Strathcona” on Friday, September 28th from 7-11pm at the TransAlta Arts Barns.  

 At only $40.00 a ticket, “A Taste of Old Strathcona” gives you a “taste” of what this unique community has to offer through shopping at our silent auction, sampling Old Strathcona cuisine, and enjoying live entertainment. It is truly the best deal in town!

This year you will enjoy the musical stylings of the Don Berner Trio. Juno Award winner P.J. Perry has called Don Berner "one of Canada's fastest rising saxophone stars …" and jazz icon Hugh Fraser has stated:”Don’s talent as a great saxophonist is supported by his compositional and band leading talents.”

You will also be entertained by magician Ron Pearson who has been performing magic professionally around the world for more than 24 years. The Globe and Mail has called his magic, “Brilliant”, the CBC has said his show is, “Outstanding”, and the Edmonton Journal has said he performs, “Mind-Boggling Sleight of Hand.”
