The Old Strathcona Foundation is celebrating the flavour of Old Strathcona while raising funds and friends at the fourth annual A Taste of Old Strathcona on Friday,September 24, 2010.  The evening features tantalizing edibles and an awesome auction; all money raised is in support of the Old Strathcona Foundation.

A Taste of Old Strathcona has raised over $8,000.00 in the past two years. Tickets are $25/person and include a sampling of Old Strathcona cusine 

Tickets are now on sale at the Old Strathcona Foundation office, 3rd Floor, Queen Alexandra School, 7730 – 106 Street, at the Old Strathcona Foundation booth at the Farmers’ Market, aisle 4 or by calling 780.439.9166.

The Old Strathcona Foundation strives to protect and promote the heritage of the Old Strathcona area.  This is done by being an active voice within the community on planning and development issues, undertaking restoration projects while working within the community structure.

The Old Strathcona Foundation believes in investing in the past for the future.  With your support of the A Taste of Old Strathcona the Foundation will be able to continue in the path of its founders, who came together in 1974 to stop the creation of a freeway through the heart of Old Strathcona.  Times have changed and the challenges faced today are different but the spirit of our founders still exists.  The Old Strathcona Foundation appreciates your support and dedication to this truly unique community.
